Meditation Through Chakra Dancing and Creative Meditation

The Workout

Chakra Dancing is a workout for the mind, body and soul. We all vibrate at different frequencies which can be linked to specific areas of the body.

Grounding the energy and releasing stress and emotion, Chakra Dancing balances the seven energy centres situated along the spine. Stimulating the natural flow of energy, or chi, through the chakras, the dance leads to physical and mental well-being, a workout for everybody from the inside out.

Using an eclectic mix of global influences from tribal dancing to Tai Chi, yoga and slow motion body work gently guides you through the chakras, leaving the body re-energized and in perfect balance.

The Music

This free form spontaneous dance is led by a trained Chakra Dancing therapist to music composed especially for the purpose. From the deep earthy drumming music at the root to the sexy funky soul of the sacral, let go of stress with the staccato punchy Latin jazz at the solar plexus. Then breathe in the intoxicating disco rhythms of the heart, be mesmerised by the native Indian chanting at the throat before chilling out with a contemporary classic at the third eye. Feel enlightened at the crown with a moving angelic classical piece before descending through the chakras to the echoes of the Tibetan bowls one is then ready to relax and unwind and enjoy creative meditation.

Creative Meditation

Creative meditation is deeply relaxing and helps release tension and stress in the body. A meditative state encourages healing, well-being and encourages one’s own ability to solve life problems. We are multidimensional beings and meditation helps to gain clarity of thought, galvanise the body and remind us who we truly are. Meditation teaches you to access the peace within you and not rely on external sources to provide a substitute. By accessing the stillness within us and around us, the mind becomes quieter, a space of silence arises and one feels totally in the NOW. In this relaxed space you solve your own problems. It can be a voyage of self-discovery, which enables change to enter your life.

Meditation through Walking

Not only do we meditate by dancing through the chakras ‘part of the day includes a walking meditation.

Obviously there is a difference with a walking meditation, we are not sitting or lying down. The focus is on ‘things outside’; the wind, the rain, the sun and the sounds from nature and our feet pounding the earth and what we notice as our walk evolves.

Walking offers a more intense experience and enjoyment as we become more mindful of the outside world.

Walking meditation can be done anywhere, even on a trip to the shops. Once we have learnt to be mindful we become more aware and more in tune with ourselves.

The Retreat is located in the quaint village of Peldon and there are many beautiful walks to enjoy.

After our walking meditation, we will have a vegetarian buffet lunch made with locally sourced ingredients before embarking on our mindful floristry afternoon

Meditation through Intuitive Flower arranging

The Power of Flowers

Flowers have always been associated with healing.

We can be guided to certain kinds of flowers by their colours. Each colour resonates with the chakras.

It is a simple way to balance the chakras by having flowers and plants around us, so we will make a healing wreath with a variety of flora collected from around the garden, along with a floral display.

As a qualified florist I will share my insights of how to prolong the life of flowers and how to create a simple arrangement for you to take home and enjoy along with your wreath as a reminder of your day here at Flower Retreat.

Closure

To dance around a fire is a magical feeling in the dusk of the evening as the stars twinkle above.

This is where the day ends and you leave with new experiences and new friends – Our tribe of sisters…
